OUR AIM IS TO PRODUCE HIGH YIELDING,
QUICK MATURING, HEAVY WEIGHT LAMBS
Welcome to the Omagh Stud Ram Sale for 2023, hosted at Riverlea Farm
and now under the ownership of James and Sally Carr.
Our primary objective is to uphold and build upon the legacy of Norman
and Margaret Carr, by placing paramount importance on the production
of stock with fundamental structural soundness, underpinned by superior
genetics. In line with this commitment, we have transitioned our genetic
information to the SIL (Sheep Improvement Limited) database. We can
therefore present you the genetic merit of our rams, to aid you in making
informed selections.
Our breeding philosophy revolves around key attributes such as weight
gain, muscling, yield, and reasonable leanness in our animals. We will
continue to put our older Suffolk ewes to a Texel ram to provide choice for
our valued clients. The Sufftex rams that result from this cross breeding are
bred with the same objectives we apply to our Suffolk breeding program.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all those who have taken the time to join
